Full Focus

“Let your eyes look straight ahead;
    fix your gaze directly before you.” Proverbs 4:25

It is normal to sometimes get distracted by the world. We go about our day, and we sometimes forget to stop and listen to what the Lord has to say. The more we lose focus on Christ the more we draw away from Him. So, it’s good to refocus our minds on God. Remember who you are and whose you are.
“Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.” Colossians 3:2

We also tend to want control over our situations. We want to do things on our own. But, the thing is, with God it doesn’t work that way.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart
    and lean not on your own understanding;
  in all your ways submit to him,

    and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6

He wants to have full control over your problems. He wants to be the center of our focus. When we want to do something on our own, we fail. We collapse. We need to learn to surrender all to the Lord. Give it all to Him.
He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
    I will be exalted among the nations,
    I will be exalted in the earth.” Psalm 46:10

God will take care of it. Nothing is too BIG for him. He NEVER fails.
 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.” Philippians 4:13

I can assure you that when you just take the time to pray and surrender everything to Jesus, not only will you feel much better then you did before you prayed, but He’ll give you peace.
“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7

So, the next time nothing goes your way, just let go and let God take complete control. He has a plan.
“Do you not know?
    Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
    the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
    and his understanding no one can fathom.” Isaiah 40:28
