Worth The Cross


"He himself bore our sins" in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; "by his wounds you have been healed."
1 Peter 2:24


When Jesus went to die on the cross for our sins, he thought of each and every one of us. When he was persecuted, beaten to death in your place, he thought of you. He willingly went to die for you,because you were worth it. You were worth the cross for him. Yes, we didn’t deserve it, in fact we didn’t deserve it AT ALL but he still did it, because of his unfailing love and amazing grace.

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” Romans 3:23

Yes, you may feel so UNWORTHY , but God’s mercy is bigger than any mistake you’ve made. We were supposed  to get beaten to pieces and nailed to the cross, but Jesus took our place. Picture this: Satan has a hold of you, then Jesus comes along and tells him: “Let her/him go, take me in her/his place but let her/him  live.”

“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed,
for his compassions never fail.
They are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22-23

We were blood bought. Jesus shed his blood for us. You may think that there is nothing that you can do to repay him for what he has done. Nothing can compare for what Christ did, but there is one thing. You can live for him. He died so that we could live for him, for his glory and tell others about this GREAT news. The thing is we are ALL sinners, but by God’s grace and for what Jesus did for us we are saved.

“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” Mathew 6:33

While on the cross, Jesus thought of you and me. But what I find truly amazing is throught all the chaos, he said: “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” THAT is the BEAUTY of God’s grace. He died so you could live. Isn't that Amzing?! 

Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” (a)  Luke 23:34
